ROLE:  Freelance Director of Events

CLIENT:  United Social Sports

LOCATION:  Washington, DC

I was engaged to set up a new Events division for DC-based social sports business, United Fray as it looks to diversify from its sports focus into a lifestyle brand.


Through the initial development of a 5-year business plan, I built systems that currently deliver over 200 events a year in four US markets, which took the events business from zero to $500,000 revenue after 12 months of operation and is projected to achieve $1m of revenue in year 2. 

After 12 months as a consultant Director of Events in this role, I handed over operation of the Events Department to a team I specifically recruited, and which continues to achieve success in a brand new vertical for the business.
